Hi, I’m Alison and I’m the Mantrailing Uk/Global instructor at Pawsome Trails.

I qualified as an instructor in 2021. Since that time I have completed hundreds of hours of CPD courses, in line with the Mantrailing Uk/Global requirements and continue to participate in these, to become the best instructor I can.

We are based just off junction 3 of the M42 and offer trails in the surrounding areas covering parts of Worcestershire, Warwickshire and the West Midlands.

We have our own private venue where the majority of our Introductory Workshops are held.

Have a look at our reviews written by some of the amazing people who we have had the pleasure of accompanying on their Mantrailing journey.

We would love to see you on our trails where you can be sure of a warm, friendly welcome.

Here is a taster about Pawsome Trails and what they offer;

Mantrailing is a sport training dogs to find a specific missing person.  They are asked to follow the scent trail that a person has left behind, matching that scent to a sample that they are given (usually from an item of clothing that belongs to that person).  It is a huge game of hide and seek, where the dog gets to harness its amazing sense of smell in a super fun game that owner and dog can do together.

Mantrailing is an inclusive sport and is open to all age, size and breed of dog (and owner), we even have blind, deaf and dogs on wheels that trail with us!  It’s low impact, which means there is less pressure and stress on your dog’s joints, unlike many other dog sports which means that older dogs, puppies and those who need more careful exercise management can still join in the fun!  Dogs are worked one at a time during mantrailing and remain on lead throughout, so we can manage to work with reactive dogs, dogs with poor recall or those that have had no other training… We just ask that you let your instructor know about any behaviour issues your dog may have before attending so that they can set your dog up to have the best time and to be successful in their trailing.

You don’t need much specialist equipment to get going with Mantraling, making it a really accessible and an easy sport to get into.  Your dog will need a Y shaped harness, and you’ll need a long line (around 10 meters in length), maybe some gloves if you have a strong pulling dog and the best reward for your dog possible, which can be food or toy.
